Outcomes of VICINITY Technical Review

Outcomes of VICINITY Technical Review

The main contributors and some members of the management board of VICINITY have been in Brussels for a technical check on April, 19th.

The reviewers acknowledged that the project has achieved so far all objectives, and all deliverables by March 31st were accepted.

However, a number of issues are pending.

The most annoying is that – despite good technical results – the quality of deliverables needs to be improved. Problematic is in particular the introduction. For this pupose, University of Kaiserslautern has created a template of an executive summary and introduction section as it should be, based on examples that were considered good.

Furthermore, it was argued by reviewers that DLT techniques e.g. for improving privacy could significantly add value to VICINITY, and in particular academic partners are encouraged to look inside this challenge, even if it goes beyond VICINITY‘s description of work. UNIKL has taken this challenge and will create such an approach.
