VICINITY General Assembly Meeting

Wednesday, May 31, 2017 (All day) to Friday, June 2, 2017 (All day)
CERTH, Thessaloniki, Greece

VICINITY held a meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece to discuss the plan of the project and the preparation for next review. In addition, VICINITY partners gave an overview of the work packages and discussed technical part of the project.

A technical workshop took place among the main technical partners of the consortium, focusing on the integration of the different VICINITY Components like VICINITY Cloud services and VICINITY Node architecture, towards the release of the first VICINITY integrated prototype. Infrastuctures will be integrated via VICINITY adapter/agent to VICINITY. Agent will serve to extend functionality of adapter and will be connected to VICINITY via VICINITY Gateway API and VICINITY node.

Moreover, a thorough presentation and discussion on the VICINITY value-added services managed to better clarify the scope and positioning of such services in the VICINITY ecosystem. Also, the plan for releases of VICINITY solution has been set and the third VICINITY newsletter will be published.

Finally, the road-map for the planned open-calls was defined, making clear the overall context of the 2 different calls, the first planned to be launced in early 2018. Two contents of open calls have been identified: integration of IoT infrastucture in VICINITY and Value Added Services (Health, Transport, Building, Energy, Other).
